As I am frequently in the habit of making up words, I hereby announce another new candidate for the lexicon: digitography. Hereby defined as the capture of image using light principally for display using digital means.

Digitography is founded on the following values:

  • Processes and tools over vision and technique
  • Digital display over printed format
  • Commercial value over artistic integrity
  • Multiple images over previsualization

That is while Digitographers value the things on the left, Photographers value things on the right more.
